Wish there were more big brothers like this one. Or at least wish mine was like this with me
Oh man. My brother probably would have purposely thrown the ball at my face lol.
20 years later your brother probably has regrets about doing so on a regular basis.
They'll cover that regret with further asshole actions.
Source, am big brother.
your brother probably has regents about doing so on a regular basis
He hires people to do it for him now?
weirdest auto-correct ever.
Not even one little letter?
Additional source; me.
I treated my sister like a total asshole when we were young. But now I think we are closer then ever for it. Because one day I woke up, and realized how all trivial it was and thought how I might be messing her up, maybe psychologically.
I really started thinking about what kind of example am I setting for my little sister? She was just about to go into highschool and was making bad choices like drinking and smoking and not doing well in her classes.
Ever since then I made it a point to improve my grades, not show up at home blazed, treat her like human being.
Now she’s about a year away from graduating college, with 3.5gpa. Words cannot describe how proud I am of her. I hope that, that day I just stopped being the asshole and became her friend, she started to be proud of me as her brother.
Family is so important.
that's nice. My brother psychologically tortured my sister and I. He is in his 30s now. Never acknowledged any wrong thing he has ever done to anyone in the family. He doesn't understand why were aren't close. I cut off contact about 2 years ago. I don't approve of his behaviors and I don't want to be cruel to him, but I couldn't pretend anymore. Glad you and your sister turned it around. It would have been nice to have siblings.
24y/o youngest brother here still get "bullied" by the 28 and 30 y/o brothers.
Except when we're playing hockey. Youngest brother's the most athletic; you gon' get hip checked today.
Nearly 30 years later, I still feel bad for telling my sister that I'd play with her Barbie dolls if she played with my Lego bricks only to go back on my promise after we were done playing with my Lego bricks. I must have been such a shitty brother that even at 12 or so, after an earthquake rocked her bed in the middle of the night, she thought that I snuck into her room to shake her bed and scare her.
It was never that intense, but typical sibling rivalry stuff. I've been dialing back the asshole actions for years, and my brother and I had connected over a bunch of topics as adults. He committed suicide this year. It's been rough. Tell your siblings you love them. I did it plenty and still doesn't feel that it's enough. I think often of the moments of being an ass, teasing or pushing him or stealing his toys or attention. I also think of moments like shown here in this post. Support, fun, play, creativity, being our best selves. The relationship between siblings is as every bit as complicated as all of life. What I didn't realize until he was gone is how much of my identity and the identity of my family was wrapped up in our relationship. If you have a sibling, enjoy it, and treasure your shared experience. Few others have known you as long.
I miss you buddy.
I regret it. But I always try to make up for it by being there for him now.
Big sister here. I once convinced my little brother that he had a horrible disease that could only be cured by drinking his own urine. I told him he was going to die if he didn't. Crying and scared he drank the pee, after which I laughed at him profusely and said "I made you drink you own pee!"
I regret doing this every. Single. Fucking. Day.
As a big brother, I have no regrets.

Like a true big brother should
Lol rude but ok
Replace ball with milo tin and you got me, she thought i was bluffing.....i love my sisters
As a kid my brother knocked out my two front teeth the same weekend
I upvoted your comment but not necessarily because I like the content~ sounds like a shit weekend
My brother was like this with me. My sister on the other hand, not so much!
Well at least one of them was, glad for you =P
lol yeah I treated my sister poorly when we were kids. I think she hates me and we never talk to each other.
Lol yeah real funny /s
You should try to make up with her.
lololololololololol xD hahahahahhahahha yeah!
Dont worry you are strong
uhg! me too! my older brother would constantly fight with me and when I'd get him back, he'd then tattle on me (making ME look like the bad one)
send this clip to him.
P.S. Wish I have a sister like this....
Some good parents are raising those children
I'm up-voting you but it's "hear, hear!"
Haha thanks. Had no idea
My parents are great but my siblings and I were still assholes to eachother til our teens.
Agreed! Hear hear... well done them! Parents leading by example here and teaching the elder sibling on how to lead by example. Love it...
The elder kid does this as reward seeking attention behaviour as that’s what his been taught. Excellent.
Things the parents need to guide the elder sibling on in the future is that the younger sibling needs to eventually learn she can do these things herself and elder may need to step back a little (instead of always being the hands on problem solver) and guide with his voice more instead of actions.
Source: I have older kids who acted exactly the same as these great kids and the younger one did become used to having a hands on helper to things for them when things a bit a miss. But now she’s a natural born leader just like her big bro too!!

That kid is a baller on two levels. This also should go in r/aww.
I can see him growing up to be a great man. Like Jaime Lannister.
"I feel like all my kids grew up and then they married each other. It’s every parent’s dream."
Best scene in GOT
Please don't, I don't want to see their kids killing one by one or commit suicide.
Yeah I can see this.

That kids only going to get stronger everyday. Good parenting 👍 and lucky sister! I’m sure she’ll grow up to have a solid sense of character as well. I love seeing this stuff

Yeah why is this in this sub lol
Definitely thought this was another sub haha
I hope someone shows him this when he’s older to remind him how to be awesome. Age sometime erodes those kind instincts.
Nah we just get distracted with how busy our lives get and we forget how good it feels to be kind.
So in response to my comment about being kind, you negate my position "nah..." then state "we forget how good it feels to be kind." ummm.....
This is the most wholesome shit I've ever seen in my life
Awww, that's a good big brother.
OH GOD THE PARENTING......I CAN'T DEAL. Excellent job and tip my cap to you parents. None of that happens without your son seeing good modeling of empathy and respect.
Damn...I need to learn a few moves from this kid.
Just be aware that when a stranger is crying in public, kissing their face isn't always the best strategy.
Speak for yourself
Yeah, go kiss yourself
That's a core memory.
Single core or multi core?
maybe the best thing I ever seen on reddit, it just melted my heart
Comfort, support, help, succeed, celebrate. All the steps to being a good mentor through failure.
What an awesome older brother!!!
.... Why does this make me tear up? What a fucking amazing brother.
Good luck to all her future boyfriends, they have to measure up to that and if they don't then they have to deal with him.
Haha I hope the parent keeps this so that when these two are teenagers and inevitably at each other’s throat, peace by embarrassment can be made.
This only hammers in how much of a piece of shit I was to my little sister when I was a kid
I was the youngest brother, my older brother toumbstone piledrived me into a pool and made me bleed from my nose.
Mi corazón ☺️💙
What a kind brother
Just wow. This is just the sweetest. They must have some great parents.
Why is this making me teary eyed? My heart feels so much warmth because of this boy; the sweetest brother ever!
You can tell those kids live in a very loving and affectionate home.
This kid showed more love and affection to his sister in this video than I've showed my 4 sisters in my whole life
There is only so much love and affection a little boy can handle...
Hard to believe there are older siblings like this, but I'm so happy that there is.
What a sweet brother. You can clearly see how happy his love makes his sister as well.
I honestly wish I could love my sister as much as this lil' dude loves his but my sister is an absolute cunt so, nah.
Brother of the year
Makes me wish I'd had two
This was so pure.
Dear Lord, what a sweetheart
Humanity still have hope.
Meanwhile when I was two, my older brother purposely smashed my foot inside the bottom mechanism of a reclining sofa...
My older brother ignored the "dont try this at home" messeges on tv, this led to him trying out a ton of WWE moves on me and my sister. I lost multuple teeth to him lol.
Well that's just goddamn adorable.
This is the best
That did good things for my heart.
Bless that child

Brother's love for his sister
This is what being a big brother is all about.
Fine young man in the making. I’d be proud if my son behaved like this.
that is the sweetest brother I've ever seen. These kids clearly have wonderful, loving parents <3
That boy will grow up to be a wonderful man.
How do I raise children to be like this?
They're like 2 and 3. They weren't taught, at that age they're more copying what they see.
To answer your question more directly, you just love them, and you love their other parent. Freud was basically right, but everyone misinterprets his words. Kids don't want to kill their same gendered parent and marry the opposite, they take their actions from the same gendered parent, even before they identify as male or female — and I really have no idea how, if at all, this changes for LGBT kids — they know which parent is more like them and they shape their mannerisms after that parent, and what they expect from relationships is based on how that parent was treated by the other one.
If you're (to be) the father, you just love their mother, support her, and tend to her when she needs you. Your son will see that and it will reflect his relationship with others. At that age kids don't have a sexual mindset, so they will apply what they learn to friendships and sibling relationships regardless of gender. Less to their non-preferred gender once they're about 6 or 7 (boys more than girls, some girls will still kiss each other non-sexually).
So many parent couples split up or mistreat each other, so this doesn't seem as common as it should be. This is how kids should be to one another. Of course, the best parenting in the world can't make up for a bad seed — that does happen sometimes. Some people are just good in spite of a bad upbringing, and some people are just bad in spite of a good one. Good people can't be engineered.
Last sentence is so true. Thank you! I’ll keep note of this when I’m like 30 and have my career and tell my husband and all. As a wife I should treat him the same too. Parents don’t know how important it is to be a parent and the privilege it is.
Damn if that was me I think i'd be the one blocking the ball's path through the hoop.
This is so cute it hurts.
EDIT. Nevermind that's the passing kidney stone
oh damn that sucks. I heard if you put clothespin on your tip the stone will come out ur ass. gl
This is so freaking adorable
I totally thought he threatened to hit her at 0:08...
W H O L E S O M E
That was beautiful.
What a sweet brother. My brothers were assholes to me!! Hahaha... but no regrets
Started out as r/kidsarefuckingstupid ended as r/humansbeingbros
Please explain how it started like that.
This pushed past two sets of antidepressants. I can produce tears!
I bet you all the money I have in my bank account that this kid is gonna take care of his lil sister til the day he die. Wish I have a brother like that growing up who care so much about his sibiling.
With how negative the internet is these days, it's nice to see heartwarming videos like this every once in a while.
Wow... this made my day
Best thing to see early in the morning!
That’s just adorable.
Fuck! This right here is what it’s all about👏🏼
Well all need family/friends like this

This is the most adorable thing I've seen in a long time.
What a dude!
9 in the morning and I already hit a good level of adorable in the heart for the day. Back to being a salty codger.
What a sweetheart.
If aliens ever come to Earth and want to judge whether or not we should be subject to annihilation We should send this clip.

Are you ok?
well, i was going to say "i usually see these kinds of scenes only in anime" you know.. big brother is so charismatic that the little sister remembers it for the rest of her life, that kind of thing.
but then i realized i could make a metal gear solid reference so i did that instead
now i have people downvoting me, so fuck me, right?
people are fucked up, man, they see "japanese" and the first thing they think is porn
I like your username. So you're saying you're Kirito? :)
wow, you really know how to trigger a .hack fan.
Also, have a meme I made for my wife who is a cake decorator and .hack fan/SAO hater. "Nailed it!"
Haha! Thought that's what it was a reference to.
.hack//SIGN was my first anime, and SAO totally started out as .hack//The Next Generation, but I love it. I love the whole genre, even though I don't think Reki Kawahara ever stopped borrowing from .hack. I've yet to see anything in the new season, but each of the three main arcs of SAO call back to .hack in some way. Fairy Dance with the brother/sister thing of .hack's second season. Phantom Bullet with Kirito having long hair being a reference to Tsukasa's true identity (seriously, making him look like a girl had no real purpose otherwise). And then Mother's Rosary with the overpowered duelist who never logs out... different reason for it but same basic concept as the girl in the OVA "Another Story." SAO basically took .hack's best ideas and ran with them straight to the top.
But I don't hate it because the same people make the games for both of them and Yuki Kajiura composes both. Let the copyright holders worry about who copied what. We the fans get more content, and for that I'm grateful.
so far the new season "alicatataidufaozoidf" is pretty good, it's actually becoming more on par with the .hack//series.
